New Artist: HAXIS – New EP “Happy” – Electro rock music.
In an interview via Skype with french music producer “Haxis”. From the beautiful city of Tours, France. Located between Paris and La Rochelle. This drummer and electronic music producer talks about his new EP “Happy”,what artists are on his radar and his upcoming show in Paris,France.
1. What is the meaning of “Haxis”?
Haxis: I wanted a short word, I love the sound of that word. It’s a word I made up. It’ not a french word. For me the “x” means balance between body and mind.
2. How do you define your music style? And who are your musical influences?
Haxis: “Haxis” is a mix of techno and electro rock. My passion for music started with rock music and funk rock. Currently, I’m really inspired by several music groups like “Air” and “Daft Punk.”
3. You started playing drums in several rock/funk bands, What made you choose electronic music?
Haxis: As a drummer I felt I couldn’t express myself musically. 10 years ago I was trying to make electronic music on my own, in my computer. For me electronic music is a world of possibilities, I feel I can do anything I want musically. I just need to push a button and I’m able to create any sound I have on my mind. For this new EP “Happy” I had the opportunity to work with great musicians a bassist and a guitar player to create a new electro rock sound.
4. What can we expect from your live shows?
I describe my show as Haxis universe, cool synchronized visuals and lights.
I want people to feel happy when they hear my music. That’s the reason I named my new EP Happy. I’ll be playing a show in Paris next September and October.
